1. Who we are
Nebula is a Discord bot and companion web dashboard offering moderation, member leveling and content notification features. It is owned and operated by Rainbow Frame LLC, a limited liability company registered in Colorado, United States. This policy explains what information Nebula handles and how it is used and removed.
2. Information Nebula handles
When you sign in with Discord, Nebula receives the details Discord sends during the sign-in: your Discord user ID, username, avatar and email address. These are stored to create and identify your Nebula account.
When you add Nebula to a Discord server, the following is stored so the bot can work there:
- Server details (server ID, name and icon) and your ownership or administrative role in that server.
- The settings you configure: moderation history entries, leveling settings, selected channels and role rewards.
- Leveling data: which channels are counted, XP totals and levels for members, and message cursors used to track progress.
- Notification feeds you create: the platform or feed URL, the creator being followed, the Discord channel that receives alerts, your custom alert message template, and identifiers of content already announced so it is not repeated.
Nebula does not collect payment information — no paid plans or purchases exist. Nebula does not sell your information.
3. How the information is used
The information above is used to run the features you enabled: signing you in, showing your dashboard, performing moderation actions you or your chosen moderators trigger, awarding XP and role rewards in your selected channels, and posting alerts to your chosen Discord channels.
When Nebula posts in your Discord server or reads public message activity there, it does so with the permissions the server owner granted when adding the bot. Nebula does not read messages in channels that are not selected for leveling.
4. Third-party services
Nebula relies on other services to run: Discord (sign-in, bot actions and message delivery), our hosting and database provider, and the platforms your notification feeds follow (such as YouTube, Twitch, Kick, X and RSS sources). Those services handle data under their own policies. Content alerts reference publicly available posts and streams from those platforms.
5. Data retention and deletion
You stay in control of your data. You can remove a single server from your dashboard's account settings, which deletes that server's stored settings, leveling data and notification feeds. You can delete your whole Nebula account there as well, which deletes your profile and every server and its data connected to it.
Removing the Nebula bot from a Discord server stops the bot from acting in it; deleting the server from the dashboard removes its stored data. If you would like help with deletion, reach us on the help server listed below.
6. Security
Access to your dashboard is gated by your Discord sign-in, and sensitive credentials used to run the bot and its integrations are kept in the service's secure configuration rather than in the dashboard. No service can promise perfect security, and we encourage you to keep your Discord account protected.
7. Children
Nebula is intended for use within Discord communities, and Discord sets a minimum age for its own service. Nebula is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children outside of what Discord sign-in provides.
8. Changes to this policy
As Nebula's features change, this policy may change too. We will update the date at the top of this page when it does.
